Dr. Cohen obtained his Ph.D. from Marquette University in 1975. His research has focused on the analysis of electrical activity of the brain and nervous system using computers. He was a board member, and twice president of the American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring and is an IEEE EMBS Distinguished Lecturer, teaching medical and bioengineering ethics. Dr. Cohen has been on the faculty of Emory University Medical School, the Medical College of Wisconsin and MSOE University, has published over 100 papers and book chapters, and received an honorary Doctor of Engineering from MSOE University where he is currently a Regent.
