UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA CENTER FOR INNOVATION
NeuroVascular Research & Design is a member of The University of Arizona Center for Innovation, a startup incubator network which supports startup ventures. This is done through providing access to people, programming and places that help entrepreneurs take their companies from idea to market.
UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA
BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Arizona is a nationally recognized leader in developing software for “reading” optical data. By using software developed by the Department, patterns in optical, numeric, and other data are recognized, read, and identified as to source, type, etc. Using Artificial Intelligence, the Department has a successful history of developing software that allows medical devices, such as the NVRD device, learn the normal variability of data, thereby improving its diagnostic sensitivity and specificity. The Department has a proven history of developing medical devices and bringing them to commercial utilization.
JOHNS HOPKINS MEDICINE
NVRD is working with surgeons from the Department of Urological Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions (JHMI). Through this partnership, the medical devices developed by NVRD will be evaluated clinically for their sensitivity and specificity. JHMI excels as one of the leading medical facilities in the world.
